🧠 Head & Neck Screening

Head and neck screening helps identify common conditions affecting the oral cavity, throat, neck, and related structures at an early stage.
These screening tools are designed to assess symptoms related to neck swellings, oral lesions, voice changes, and warning signs of infections or cancers.

Who should undergo head & neck screening?

  • Individuals with neck lumps or swellings.
  • Persistent mouth ulcers or white/red patches in the oral cavity.
  • Change in voice or hoarseness lasting more than two weeks.
  • Difficulty or pain while swallowing.
  • Unexplained weight loss, throat pain, or ear pain.
  • History of tobacco, smoking, or alcohol use.
  • Non-healing wounds or growths in the mouth or throat.

What happens after screening?

Based on your screening results, further clinical examination, investigations, or referral for treatment may be advised.
Screening tools do not replace clinical examination but help in early detection of head and neck–related disorders.
