This screening tool is intended for preliminary assessment only and helps in identifying individuals who may benefit from further ENT evaluation, nasal endoscopy, allergy testing, or imaging studies.
Who should undergo Nose Screening?
- Nasal blockage or congestion Persistent or intermittent blockage of one or both nostrils
- Frequent sneezing or nasal itching especially if associated with dust, weather change, or seasonal variation
- Runny nose or post-nasal drip
- Watery or thick nasal discharge, or a sensation of mucus dripping into the throat
- Facial pain, pressure, or heaviness particularly around the forehead, cheeks, or between the eyes
- Reduced or altered sense of smell, partial or complete loss of smell or change in smell perception.
- Recurrent sinus-related complaints, repeated episodes of nasal congestion, headache, or facial discomfort.
- Symptoms suggestive of nasal allergy including morning sneezing, nasal itching, or symptoms triggered by allergens
- Long-standing nasal symptoms not improving with routine measures.

The screening helps in early identification of symptoms, supports timely medical consultation, and assists in planning appropriate next steps for diagnosis and management.
After completing the nose screening, the responses are reviewed to identify symptom patterns and their possible significance.
